Irakli Nadareishvili: Georgia is participating in CES, the largest technology exhibition in the USA, for the first time

For the first time, Georgia is participating in CES (Consumer Electronics Show), one of the world’s largest and most prestigious technology exhibitions, which is being held in Las Vegas, the USA. The Georgian delegation is headed by Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development. Georgia's participation in the event is driven by the StartUP in Georgia initiative, which aims to position the country as a favorable environment for the development of startups in the international market.

During the event, Deputy Minister Nadareishvili took part in a panel discussion titled Unlocking Opportunities: State Strategies to Support Startups and Enhance Investments. In his address, he emphasized that the development of an innovative startup ecosystem is a key component of Georgia's economic policy. He noted that the government supports startups in various areas, including infrastructure development, access to finance, and technical assistance. Nadareishvili highlighted that showcasing Georgia’s startup ecosystem on a global scale through major technological exhibitions like CES is crucial to attracting international attention and investment. 

Nadareishvili also provided an overview of the innovation promotion programs in Georgia, including tax benefits, access to finance, and research initiatives. He drew particular attention to the government reforms that have transformed Georgia's startup ecosystem into a regional hub, attracting significant interest from global investors and foreign startups.

The panel discussion included participation from Ed Brzytwa, Vice President of International Trade at CTA; Jean-David Malo, Executive Director of the European Union Innovation Council; and other industry experts.

During the visit, Deputy Minister Nadareishvili, along with Avtandil Kasradze, the Chair of the Innovation and Technology Agency of the country and Levan Kulijanashvili, the Consul General of Georgia in San Francisco, held meetings with the key figures such as Kinsey Fabrizio, the President of the Consumer Technology Association, and John Kelley, the Vice President of the CES, to discuss collaborative opportunities. 

CES 2025 will feature various activities, including panel discussions, presentations, and exhibitions from technology companies and ecosystems worldwide. Georgian startups, such as Klipy, Elven Technologies, Widgera, Stori AI, and Baasi, are also being showcased at the Georgian exhibition stand.
