First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development took part in the event dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Slovak company Gino Holding’s operation in Georgia. The event was held in the space of the largest water park in the region, "Gino Paradise". Levan Davitashvili attended the event together with his Slovak colleague – the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy, Denisa Saková and the Slovak delegation. Together with the Slovak guests, the Vice Prime Minister inspected the infrastructure of the aqua park and learned about the further plans and projects of Gino Holding in Georgia.
Gino Paradise" is the first large-scale investment of Slovakian JSC Gino Holding in Georgia, which was followed by other investment projects in subsequent years. The projects include a 4-star hotel "Gino Wellness" in Rabat, a 4-star hotel "Gino Wellness" in Mtskheta, a 5-star hotel "Gino Seaside" in Tbilisi, a 5-star hotel "Gino Grand" under construction on the Melikishvili street in Tbilisi and others. In total, starting from 2012 to the present day, "Gino Holding" has invested almost 110 million euros in Georgia.
The Slovakian delegation was on a two-day working visit to Georgia. The delegation consisted of the Minister of Economy, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, the President of the National Bank of Slovakia, as well as the heads of "Exim Bank". It should be noted that the bank has many years of successful cooperation with "Gino Holding" in various projects.
According to the founder of the "Gino Holding", Nodar Giorgadze, the company will actively continue its activities and investments in Georgia in the coming years. At this stage, the company is working on several projects, including: the construction of a 50 MW photoelectric plant in Gardabani with a total cost of 28 million euros is underway since 2023; the construction of the "Gino Wellness Spa" hotel with a total cost of 5 million euros will begin in 2024, in the mountain-ski area of Bakuriani. Also this year, the construction of a large-scale project, residential, shopping, office and hotel complex "Tbilisi Boulevard" begins near the Tbilisi Sea - with a total investment volume of 200 million euros.
"The activity of "Gino Holding" is a good example of successful economic cooperation between Georgia and Slovakia. Now we are talking with our Slovak colleagues about expanding cooperation in such areas as energy, transport and IT. We have specific plans in this regard" – Levan Davitashvili commented.
