Following the government's decision, a technological hub will be opened in the former building of the Parliament in Kutaisi, which will be the center of attraction of the largest innovations and new technologies in the region. The complex includes an interactive science museum, as well as a startup accelerator, an international IT school, a conference space, a powerful data center for the development of Georgian artificial intelligence, various experimental laboratories, and last but not least, the new technology hub will house the representatives of the world's leading technology companies, which means that Kutaisi will also appear on the international technological map as a technological center of regional importance.

Kutaisi and the former parliament building is an ideal place to launch a regional technology hub. Proximity, on the one hand, to the international airport and higher educational institutions of technological profile, and on the other hand, a unique area for such a large-scale project, will very soon turn Kutaisi into a center of attraction for scientific-technological and IT-business. As a result, Kutaisi and the Imereti Region in general will receive additional investments, including in non-professional businesses, service industries, new jobs and most importantly, significant development prospects.

In 2014, one of the main challenges at the initial stage of the development of the startup ecosystem was the development of technological infrastructure in the regions. Today, 9 technoparks have been launched over the territory of Georgia, which help Georgian citizens with innovative ideas in their commercialization on the principle of one window. Opening a technological hub in the region will give even more impetus to this process, and as a result, we will get more technologically developed regions, better trained personnel and more technological businesses, which will uniquely increase the competitiveness of our country both in the region and on the global market as a whole.

It should be noted that at the initial stage of project development, there is a great interest from IT businesses to open offices in a technological hub with great opportunities. It is expected that such interest will increase significantly in the next stages of project development.
